We are very grateful to Shaadi.com for bringing us together! Sandesh had sent me an interest around Jan 16, 2014. I accepted it on Jan 20 and we started talking on phone from Jan 21. We got along very well and felt very comfortable with each other. We both had a feeling that we were meant to be together. On my birthday, on Feb 7, Sandesh decided to surprise me with a ticket to Savannah in my email inbox so that we could meet in person! I flew to Savannah and met him for the first time! We spent the weekend together and I met many of his close friends. They all celebrated my birthday! We also talked to each other's parents on phone. After coming back home, we kept in touch everyday and a week later on Valentine's Day, on Feb 14 he proposed me. All of our friends and family were pleasantly surprised and showered us with their best wishes and compliments! After discussing with our families we decided to get engaged on March 9 at his hometown in Savannah, Georgia and married on March 10. My parents flew in for the ring ceremony along with some of our relatives. Everyone was happy with us and wished us well. We decided to perform the Hindu ceremony later as many of our family members could not come from India on such short notice. We are very excited for that and look forward to celebrating with our close family and friends! We would like to give our heartfelt thanks to Shaadi.com for playing a vital role in our love story!
